About me
At first glance, Grace Han’s works portray not a far departure from impressionism inspired. Most works, however, are very modern in its color depiction and content representation. The works’ inspirations come not only from the nature, but also from vibrating inner desire to express lines and colors in abstract manner.
The paintings have transformed scenes of unmistakable silhouettes and subtle perspective which give painting’s surface pulsating with emotion. Random scrawls and shapes recall unordered style, and yet observed to feel sense of completion as whole. Consciously planned brush techniques mixed with unsystematic throw of colors into one painting is bizarrely harmonized.
Blurred edges seen in many of the paintings make the color masses appear to vibrate with a misty, magical quality. Luminosity of nature inspired pieces suffuses the paintings, dissolving all tension of forms and contrasts of tones into an inner glow.
The artist’s paintings are unhindered by traditional formulas and ideas of composition.
Her works are not afraid to challenge wide range of artistic movement style, therefore, appealing to broad viewers. Through her work, the artist desires for viewers to experience emotional interpretation of her paintings that anyone can relate to.
